Menangani Error Mysql Command Line : ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (2)

Ketika kita ingin mengerjakan sebuah project namun tiba-tiba aplikasi error, pasti kita akan galau.. heheheh.. Begitu pula yang pernah saya alami, pada saat kita mengetikan mysqld dan kemudian muncul error

ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can’t connect to local MySQL server through socket ‘/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock’ (2)

coba kita liat file /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock

ariez@ganteng:~# cat /var/run/mysqld.sock
hasilnya

#
# The MySQL database server configuration file.
#
# You can copy this to one of:
# - "/etc/mysql/my.cnf" to set global options,
# - "~/.my.cnf" to set user-specific options.
#
# One can use all long options that the program supports.
# Run program with --help to get a list of available options and with
# --print-defaults to see which it would actually understand and use.
#
# For explanations see
# http://dev.mysql.com/doc/mysql/en/server-system-variables.html

# This will be passed to all mysql clients
# It has been reported that passwords should be enclosed with ticks/quotes
# escpecially if they contain "#" chars...
# Remember to edit /etc/mysql/debian.cnf when changing the socket location.

# See /usr/share/doc/mysql-server-*/README.Debian for more information.

# * IMPORTANT: Additional settings that can override those from this file!
# The files must end with '.cnf', otherwise they'll be ignored.
#
!includedir /etc/mysql/conf.d/

perhatikan :
socket = /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock
dan ternyata file nya ngak ada

nah kita akan mencoba mengatasi masalah ini

ariez@ganteng:~# mkdir /var/run/mysqld

ariez@ganteng:~# ln -s /opt/lampp/var/mysql/mysql.sock /var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock

ariez@ganteng:~# mysql

seperti pada gambar di bawah ini

kok masih muncul error ?
ketikan /opt/lampp/lampp startmysql untuk menjalankan mysqlnya

kalau belum bisa

sudo apt-get –reinstall install mysql-server
jika tidak jalan, ketikkan :
sudo apt-get –purge remove mysql-server
sudo apt-get install mysql-server
kemudian run :
dpkg -l | grep -v ^ii
sekian semoga bisa membantu ^_^
